100% Gore-Tex garment with tear resistant internal fabric.
The Gore-Tex Membrane is made of expanded PTFE (polytetrafluorideethylene) with micropourus structure made of 1.4 million micropores per cm2, each one 20000 times smaller than a water molecule and 700 times bigger than a watervapour molecule.
This means that in terms of waterproofness and breathability are higher than EN343 standared requirments.
Cofra has taken up the technology of Gore to manufacture garments which guarentee high performance and breathability. The high quality Goretex membrane guarentees protection against rain, whatever its intensity, and goes beyond the current EN343 standard on weather protection. The Gore windstopper membrane gives very high comfort as well as complete protection from wind, which results in cold temperature when working in open air. In both cases the membranesguarentee the highest breathability performance, without parrallel in the workwear market.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) EN343
Waterproof garments are regulated by the safety standards of EN343. However, EN343 is subdivided into three sub-levels of protective clothing. EN343 Class 3 affords the highest level of foul weather protection. EN343 Class 2 provides intermediate foul weather protection, and EN343 Class 1 provides the lowest level of foul weather protection.
